This policy applies to our website at foilprint.com and to the information we collect when you contact us or request a quote.

5. Consent

We collect your personal information with your consent, which you give when you submit a form on our website and check the consent box.

Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting the person named in section 2. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before your withdrawal, and it may mean we can no longer provide you with a quote or respond to your request.

Consent to receive marketing or promotional communications, if you have given it, is always separate from consent to process your quote request. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time without affecting your ability to work with us.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies.

**Necessary cookies** are required for the website to function, for example to remember your language preference and to keep the site secure. These cannot be turned off.

**Analytics cookies** help us understand how visitors use our website. We use Google Analytics for this purpose. Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address, the pages you view, and how long you spend on them, and it may set cookies on your device.

Analytics cookies are not activated until you consent to them. You may accept or decline analytics cookies when you first visit our website, and you may change your choice at any time through our cookie settings.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. You may opt out of Google Analytics specifically by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. Service providers who process information for us

We use trusted third party service providers to operate our website and business. These providers process personal information on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes we specify.

**Shopify Inc.** provides the platform and hosting for our website. Shopify stores the information submitted through our site and provides website infrastructure and security. Shopify is headquartered in Canada and may process data on servers located in Canada, the United States, and other countries.

**Tally** provides the quote request forms embedded on our website. When you complete a form, the information you enter, including any files you upload, is transmitted to and stored by Tally before it reaches us. Tally may process this data on servers located outside Quebec.

**Google LLC** provides Google Analytics, which we use to understand website traffic and usage. Google may process this data on servers located in the United States and other countries.

We may also share personal information with professional advisors, or with authorities where required by law, by a court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

8. Transfers outside Quebec

Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Quebec, including in the United States and in Europe. This means your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions and accessible to their courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities.

Before communicating personal information outside Quebec, we assess whether the information would receive adequate protection, taking into account the sensitivity of the information, the purpose of its use, the protections in place, and the legal framework of the destination jurisdiction. We enter into written agreements with our service providers that require them to protect the information.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as required by law.

- Quote requests that do not lead to a project: 24 months
- Records relating to customers and completed projects: 7 years for tax and accounting purposes
- Website analytics data: as configured in Google Analytics, currently 24 months

When personal information is no longer needed, we destroy it securely or anonymize it.

10. How we protect your information

We take reasonable technical, physical, and organizational measures to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.

These measures include encrypted connections to our website, access controls limiting who within our organization can view personal information, and contractual protections with our service providers.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec and the affected individuals, as required by law, and we will keep a register of such incidents.

11. Your rights

Subject to certain legal limits, you have the right to:

- **Access** the personal information we hold about you
- **Correct** information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous
- **Withdraw your consent** to our use of your information
- **Request deletion** of your information where it is no longer necessary for the purposes it was collected
- **Request de-indexing**, meaning that we cease disseminating your information or that a hyperlink to it be de-indexed, where dissemination causes serious injury to your reputation or privacy
- **Receive your information** in a structured, commonly used technological format, or ask that it be communicated to another organization, where the information was collected from you and not created or inferred by us
- **Be informed** about the use of your information

To exercise any of these rights, contact the person named in section 2. We will respond within 30 days.
