Pad printing was developed over 100 years ago in Switzerland to print on watch dials. Recent developments have created many new opportunities for industries. Pad printing is generally considered to be the decorating solution for today’s innovative and creative design applications. Since the 1980’s pad printing has gained increasing popularity among manufacturers of electronic / telecommunication components, cosmetics, promotional items, medical / pharmaceutical products and a host of other commercial & industrial items requiring product identification, decorating, safety warnings and other OEM applications.

Pad printing is a printing process that can transfer a 2-D inked image from an etched plate onto a 3-D object through the use of a silicone pad. The process allows for Pantone color matching. Many surfaces can be printed, Including flat, curved, angled, concave, convex, rippled, recessed & dimpled.

As of January 2016, Foilprint’s production capacity includes 45 pad printing machines, many of which have shuttles and conveyors to produce multi-color, high volume production.
